I just got a cookie press. I've never had one before. I need a good recipe that will work in it, I'm not even sure the consistency it should need. I'd really really really prefer something that uses oil instead of margarine, trans fats and all.

Thanks

it might not work. presses and shooters are notoriously fickle.

I used one from martha stewart (just do a search online). If you don't find it, I'll post the recipe when I get a chance.

I have a great one but it uses margarine. I use the transfat free from J&J
it's easy and doesn't make a mess, I do it every friday before challes.
Here it is:
1 lb margarine, melted for 2 minutes in microwave
2 lbs flour
1 lb sugar
a bit vanille extract
pinch of salt
3 egg yolks
sometimes I grate the rind of a lemon
knead with hand, press and voila
bake on 350 for 20-to 25 min

it's 2 lbs flour and 1 lb sugar - I wrote like it.

I melt to make it easier to make by hand
