Sure. Here's how I make it. I put the pot of drained pasta on a low flame, take some mozzarella cheese, stir it in until it melts, and there's my secret recipe mac and cheese.

My kids will call me on that one. I hear it now... "This isn't mac & cheese it's macaroni with melted cheese"!
But that might be what we are serving for dinner !

Make a roux (equal parts butter and flour, you can sub oil for butter if you want).
Add milk (or cream) and shredded cheese. I usually mix mozzerella and cheddar, but you can totally do just mozerella.
Add salt, pepper, garlic, mustard powder.
Optional can of cream of mushroom soup.
Pour over cooked pasta.
You can eat it at this point or you can crush cheese crackers, put on top and bake.
Its super yummy and totally worth the extra steps. _________________ Never mistake activity for achievement.

I got this recipe from Imamother = there is a whole thread on it.
9x13 pan
Pour a box of uncooked macarroni
Add Jar maranara sauce
fill the jar with half milk and half water. - Add
Add cheese
Mix.
Cover and Bake for 1 1/2 hours. (I like it baked slightly less)

| Tried that Sky, it was a disaster! I made it on a night that I had to be out and dh was manning the fort. Nobody ate it. But the kids were in polite moods that night so they just took a few bites and left table. I think the consistancy of the macaroni bothered them.

IMO, Mac n' Cheese is supposed to be an EASY all in one pot meal that can be made using whatever cheese is on hand. Personally, I prefer it with a mixture of cheddar and American, but anything will do.
I usually boil the pasta, drain, then add some milk, margarine or butter, and then cheese to the pot. I also like adding sour cream or cream cheese if I'm in a very unhealthy mood. Sometimes I'll also add in canned pumpkin.
I also like to add some cauliflower to the water while it's boiling. It mixes into the pasta very well and is almost unnoticeable.

I don't have exact measurements at all....its sort of a feel type of thing.
I once tried the one on The Pioneer Woman's blog, but her site is running too slow right now. I'll try to find it later.
