Ok I have been here forquite some time but I still dont know the meaning for many abreviations used here  so I would like to have this thread as a dictionary ill start with some basic ones that coe to mind one the spot and then any one who thinks of others or wants to know the meaning of any abreveation can add it!
DH = Dear Husband
DF = Dear Wife
DD = Dear Daughter
DS = Deas Son
ILS = In LawS
FIL = Father In Law
MIL = Mother In Law
BIL = Brother In Law
SIL = Sister In Law
DIL = Daughter In Law
SIL =Son In law
TM = Taharas Hamishpacha
HT = Hefsek Taharah
MD = Moch Dochok
BC = Birth Control
OP = Original Poster
MO = Modern Orthodox
ok so now what do these stand for?
ISO - IME - LOR
these came to mind now off hand but im sure there r more out there that im missing cant wait to see some more TIA = Thanks In Advance!

l always thaught imho was ima ho= something like refering to the op  well this makes a lot more sense now what does AFAIK mean

We should also have a Hebrew/Yiddish dictionary for those who never had the benefit of a Hebrew Day School/seminary education...
Might be better than having to google a term or phrase...but I speak for myself.

Some of the ones posted had been troubling me lol.
Now Everyone will know the defenitions of these abreviations.
LeahsEma you might anna start a thread on words and terms yo ont understand in Hebrew/Yiddish however this thread is for imamother abbreviations good luck!
