Sounds interesting! I would remove metal combs from the wig for the microwave method Shocked

otherwise sparks may fly! Laughing

I have a junky wig I might use and a crash test dummy! I will keep you posted

No need for all that. Just throw it in the washing machine. That's what I do.

I've seen some "how to wash a wig" videos, and even had a professional show me how to do it. But the truth is, I have been married for four years, and I am afraid to wash my sheital. Embarassed

I wonder if I will ever be brave enough to do it.

I don't think I will involve any kitchen appliances though.

When I wash my sheitel it does not take that long and is not as complicated. It's more like givng the sheitel a shower, whereas this is giving it a bath.

I wash my sheital all the time.

Just like my hair.

Wet, shampoo, rinse
Condition, rinse.

Always brush down and out.

Dry it with a towel.

Set it on the head.

Brush with a little spirtz of leave in conditioner if need be.

Put in some curling cream, scrunch.

And air dry.
Sometimes blow the pieces in the front.

The thing is, I was never really good at drying and styling my own hair, so I am afraid of doing working on something that won't grow back. (I just never had the skill.) I prefer to send it to the neighbour. (I suppose in a pinch, if there was no one else, I would wash it myself and let it dry by itself on the stand.
