Yeish Grocery Store Credit Card in Israel

Does anyone have the Yeish credit card? Are you happy with it? Can you tell me the benefits of the card?

Any info is appreciated.

Here are the three reasons I no longer have any store-based credit cards (not Yesh specifically):

1. I stopped after my purse got stolen and I had to cancel and deal with paperwork for 3 cards instead of 1.

2. It's difficult to keep track of spending on more than one card.

3. Unless it's the cc your own bank issues, they treat monthly payments like a standing order. If you are 1 shekel over, they will send back the payment (like a bounced cheque) - this happened to us once, and we had to pay steep bank charges and run to make a cash payment in a bank to the cc company. If it's your own bank's cc, they deduct it anyway.

I have one (my only israeli credit card)
I'm happy. The limit started out small (only 2000 nis a month) but I have not had any problems with it.
They take the money by horaat keva once a month.

I think once a month I get sales sent to me by mail and there are special sales just for yesh credit card holders.
I also got to choose 10 items that I get 5% off on.
For me it was worth it. I used to have a post office credit card which really was a debit card - and I cancelled it as this is much better.

The first year is free; after that there's a monthly charge. If you regularly shop at Yesh it looks like a good deal - at least for the first year.

We just signed up for one, but I didn't realize it acts like a credit card. I thought it was like a shoprite card or something like that from America where they scan it and because you're a club card member you get deals.

If I want to get deals during a specific shopping trip, do I have to use it the credit card to pay? Or can I have them scan it and then pay in cash or a dif credit card? I hope it will be worth it and will not become a balagan!

I signed up for the card today since you don't need to have a teudat zehut to sign up (they changed their policy). Ya, I was wondering the same thing about paying in cash and still getting the discounts.

Also, how do ppl get Yeish Money?! I've seen people pay with hundreds of shekels of bills that are for Yeish specifically. Anyone have a clue?

You have to pay with their credit card to get the deals.

The "Yesh money" is probably what's called "tlushim" - good at a variety of stores listed on the tlush. They're often given by companies to their employees as a shai lachag - a bonus gift before the chagim, either Pesach or the Yamim Nora'im.

You can buy them for 90% (I think) of their face value.

I got it about a year and a half ago.

I canceled it around 6 months ago.
at first they made it sound very appealing, had gr8 deals for the card holders etc.
then it just turned into boring items that I never need.
the 5% off - is a joke! in most cases it comes out to about 20 agorot.

now I shop in shefa shook although there is a yesh close by.
they have a membership card that cost nothing, is not a credit card and they send you deals in the mail that are of interest to you, since they see what kind of items you shop for.
they have pretty good deals in general and especially for card holders.

I guess the reason I like it is that I anyway needed a Israeli credit card and this one is free for the year.

after my years up I will decide if I want to keep it.
for 8 shekel a month I probably will as it's convenient to have the credit card
