Has anyone had this issue?
What did you do?

That's what I've been told. But I want to know if anyone has had it done? And how much can it actually be stretched? I don't have a plain band. I have stones in the band...

I had this problem. I took it to a jeweler and they made it bigger for me. It cost $70. I think they added to it, not stretched it. They also polished all the years of dust off of it! I'm so happy to have it back.

its not a big deal at all to get a ring sized as long as there is space on the ring without any diamonds or design.

I had mine stretched. It looks thinner in the back but it's fine.

I had my band made larger. you can't really stretch a setting with diamonds because it can make the settings stretch and the stones fall out. but the jeweler cut my ring, added gold, and it fits perfectly now.

I had a piece added and I can't tell where. It cost something like 125 shekel ($30).

My wedding ring is too small (it was the ring of dh's grandma who was like 1m50). I just never remove it except for mikve, it's kind of a struggle but I manage. I didn't want to change it one bit, it has engraving of initials and wedding date of the grandparents in there!

So for those of you in New York, where did you have it enlarged?
Can anyone recommend a jeweler?

If you're on the UWS, GoldMine Jewelers (Amsterdam between 72nd and 73rd) is good (pricey, but good). If you know anyone in the diamond district building, any of them could do it. (And if you pay in cash there, you might not pay so much.)

On a thread last week, someone mentioned a very honest jeweler in BK. Let me known if you want me to search for the thread...

Thanks. I think I have someone in the diamond district building--where my ring was bought...

A reputable jeweler will not "stretch" the ring but will cut it and insert another piece of gold to enlarge the ring as much as necessary. It's soldered together and polished so you can't tell it was altered. I have had rings both enlarged and made smaller.

I haven't worn my rings in a few years since my last pregnancy. My husband want to get my rings stretched. this may sound silly but.... I wanted to know which finger, on which hand do I wear my rings on. I honestly don't remember as I haven't worn them in so long.... thanks
