Poepl--IF you have a car I strongly URGE you to go APPLE PICKING!!!!
Apple picking season is in full swing... I do NOT live in New York any more but I kNOW there are apple picking orchards not too far from MANHATTAN because I used to take my kindergarten kids on field trips there. This is a wonderful experience for the whole family and you can make some yummy stuff for the second days of Yom Tov... Google applie picking NYC...

ANY picking is SO fun for kids. Try to go to an orchard/farm that has lots of veggies/fruits to pick. The kids get a bag/basket and get to run around and choose their fruits. Some have hay rides and/or corn mazes. There are quite a few within an hour's drive from Monsey and most of them are awesome.

What range of ages do you have to please? We have a big either family or friends get together in someones house. Best with a big yard or park nearby.

Well, it's only shayach today as it seems there's gonna be rain tomorrow and Tuesday. One year we went to lee turkey farm, which was fun. I think googling your zip and apple picking or pumpkin patches should give you results. I'm sorry I don't remember the names of the other orchards.
