Cash please?

lets say someone asks you to pay them cash for a purchase or service.

you know that 99% they wont report the income or pay sales tax.

is that your responsibility? or can you say its their problem?

are you taking a part in their dishonesty?

My parents had this issue by my wedding. They asked a shaila of our dayan & were told to pay their share directly to my in laws, as opposed to the hall. The Rav said it wasn't my parents' problem how my in laws chose to pay the hall.

My question is: what if you wanted to pay cash anyway? Do you have to go out of your way to pay with a medium that isn't convenient for you, because the person you are paying won't be honest?
