Hi everyone! I was just in the US for this past month and we came back...after a looooooooooooong and STRESSFUL trip! But it WAS great to be by my parents! Wink

I didn't have so much time to spend on Imamother while I was there and I feel like I may have missed out on some earthshattering news. Anything major? Please let me know!

Also, as a side point, the airelines lost a few bags of ours, including Tefillin, Shabbos clothes, and favorite PJs (I know, that really shouldn't go into the same category lol). So please please please can you daven for us that we should find it?

Thanks everyone!

G-d willing everything will be found. I hope it was an extra pair of tfillin in there.... just as a general rule, you aren't supposed to pack anything that valuable for cargo shipment. Tfillin, jewelery etc. should be with you at all times.

It wasn't extra...and it was a carry on that the airline lost - go figure! They didn't have pre-boarding so they told us to wait until the end and they would help us with our babies and the bags...and one bag got left behind. They don't want to take responsibility b/c in general, they don't cover for carry on bags. It was crazy hashgacha, though, because I ALWAYS pack my jewelry in my sheitel box,, which I take with me on the plane. I didn't take the box this time around, and for some stupid reason (I obviously wasn't thinking!!) I packed all my jewelry into one of the suitcases after seeing that there wasn't much room in that carry on. So in the end, it was the best thing that it was in the luggage...scary no??

Brown, thanks so much for the chizuk. That really gives me hope! 11 years - WOW!

And cccookie, thank you for the welcome!!

Oy... so this was really beyond your control. You did everything "right". IYH everything will be found in one piece. Once, one of my sons lost a pair of tfillin during a march to Gush Katif before the evacuation. We found them BH after a few months - someone had stuck them in a little store-room in a Moshav. It was Hashgacha that they were found at all, and totally undamaged AND that this son had his name on the tfillin container (this part was the biggest miracle Confused) . So I know what you are going through and hope for the best results.

welcome back!

I'm sorry about what happened, I hope everything is returned!

We usually have insurance(I believe through American Express) for luggage. If it gets lost they'll give you money ( I can't remember the amount) to replace everything. I know it's too late now but it may be worth looking into.
