Where is the best place to stay (most resoable) but not to far

What is the cheapest way to go from brooklyn?

If we dont rent a car is it easy to get around?

If you can, take a coach bus. I flew to Buffalo first, that was cheap, & went to Toronto via NF by coach. It's very close to Buffalo. Go to the Canadian side, that's where all the action is. Have fun!

It's about an hr and 20 min drive from me so we drove and stayed at this nice Inn facing the river (in NY). If you want to stay in the U.S. there's a pedestrian bridge to the Canadian side which we didn't attempt because we didn't have a passport for my DS.
