I don't claim to know everything, nor do I think my opinion rules. It's just that - an opinion.

These stories are just too weird. You can tame a wild animal but you can't take the "animal" out of it. Humans are supposed to be on 'higher' than animals.
Don't get me wrong, I thinks its nice to have pets (if you take proper care of them), but these people are trying to make an animal like a human, which they are NOT.

Actually a gorilla is on the level of a 3yr old... they can speak sign language, invent words for concepts as well as insults (!), teach this language to their offspring... there are others too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washoe_(chimpanzee)
Google washoe and "dirty roger", it's _________________

I'm an animal lover so I love this stuff. I don't care what age level the animal is on. I love animals! (Don't tell my Chassidish husband though. Thinks I'm nuts).

Yes, except when they decide to actually (surprise!) act like a gorilla. Just google Charla Nash. That story gives me the heebie jeebies.
