I have bought organizers at the office & book stores plenty of times. I have also scheduled countless appts on yom tov or fast days & had to reschedule. I've basically started bringing my kids' school (wall) calendar to appts. Anyone know of an alternative that doesn't cost a fortune?

I hand-write all the important Jewish dates (along with birthdays, school events, whose chag break begins when, etc.) into my paper organizer notebook that I carry everywhere. At work I have Entourage (Outlook for the Mac) and you can download a Hebrew calendar into that. If you want to keep an online calendar, I imagine Google also has a Hebrew calendar you can add. In my kitchen we have everything on a giant calendar put out by my kids' yeshiva, which fortunately has room for most of the things we need to write - the Chabad calendar is also fairly big. Yes, it's still a pain to coordinate the Jewish calendar, two school calendars, my work calendar, and DH's work calendar - and that's just the baseline stuff - but what else can I do? Good luck!

they sell refills in israel that fit in standard size american organzers, the ones with rings. They are called "organit".
Here: http://www.officedepot.co.il/c.....amp;sgID=8

They come in different sizes, by letter.

Does it come in the wrong year? Or is that just an example?

This is the company I get my calendar from - we use the Jumbo in the kitchen.

Would the 'Executive Jewish Calendar 5771' work for what you want to do? It is $10.

For online calendars - google/outlook etc, I download from http://www.hebcal.com

That is great! Thanks so much! (now if only it went from May 2010 to December 2011, I'd really be in business. Wink)

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but my LIFELINE is the 16 month "Balabusta's Daily Organizer." This is my second year using it already and it has been JUST WHAT I NEED.

I don't know if you'd be able to get a hold of one now, but I've used the 'Yoman' you can get in the frum school supply stores/judaica stores in the beginning of the school year. Has all the dates in it, plus lots of times has quotes and stuff that are nice to read.

Any Judaice type store, I would imagine.

OK - let me laud the benefits of my planner. I've got it right in front of me now:

16 months. September of one year 'til December of the next. That covers a whole school year/ Jewish year as well as a secular calendar year.

Monthly pages show yamim tovim, Rosh Chodes, fast days and Hebrew/English dates.

Weekly pages show all of above plus sefira counting (ie - "in evening count omer xx"), parshios, etc. Bonus - facing each weekly page is a blank lined page for note taking. I use it to track my charge hours at work. There is a strip at the end of the page for menu plans and shopping lists - these are perforated so they can be ripped and and brought to store, etc.

Here's a link:

It would be nice if you can view actual pages. Only $16.

Day timers has a free online calander etc that is easy to use for the whole family. If I had an andriod it would be ven better. Or a printer for that matter. If none of this affects you look into it.
