I live in EY.

There is a strong possiblity that I am going to be divorced. Sad

I am looking for some type of work that could bring in a decent salary. (my dh's business is not doing well at all).

I am computer-literate, have basic book-keeping and typing-skills; can proof-read quite well. (I also have a B.A. in psychology)

Does anyone have any ideas for employment or re-training?

TIA

you should also be looking outside the frum world. Often the jobs are better paying with less competition.
As soon as an admin job is posted on a frummie job board, every kollel wife and their sister in law is applying. In the general market, however, there is huge demand for english speaking admin staff with brains and motivation. The job market is pretty good in EY right now, BH. I don't know where you live, or if you have kids or other limitations, but there are plenty of jobs for people who want to work.

How's your Hebrew?

Do you have money to invest in retraining? or aliyah rights?

Check out http://www.israemploy.net/job_search.php and get on their mailing list.

And Hug. We're here for you.

If you are interested in selling something from home with no investment required pm me. This is
obviously not a job and won't cover all your needs. It's an extra cash thing.

if you feel comfortable PMing me I'll give you the email address for the HR department of my husband's company- I'm pretty sure they have open positions now. or you can check out their website at www.zdhconsulting.com and the HR email should be on the website (but if you include in the email that you're from imamother HR knows to give you special attention Smile for real, we hired an imamother a couple weeks ago...)

hi, I know this may sound random, but if you are looking to find work quickly and make decent money and want flexible schedule, would you consider doing lice-treatments? I worked this whole year doing that and it pays decently (well, for israel standards!) and may be something good to bring an income in until u find something more "professional" if that's what you want.
email roshnakki@netvision.net if ur interested. hatzlacha!

Hi and thanks to all of you who replied!!!

Ora_43, in answer to your questions: my hebrew is fairly good (understanding much better than spoken), and I might have access to some money to update/re-learn new skills.

Did you have anything specific in mind?
