WIC eligibility

Not sure that this is the right forum, but...
Does anyone know what the WIC nutritional eligibility requirements are? I live in NYC, married, expecting, meet the income guidelines for a family of 3, but am puzzled by the nutritional guidelines. Do you have to prove that you're sick or eat unhealthy food? How does that work?
And does anyone know of a "good" WIC office in Flatbush?

As far as I know, Wic is given for pregnant women and kids till the age of 5 (I think). I never heard of it having to do with good or bad nutrition

As far as I know, it's just based on income. I had to prove income but was never asked any questions about my health or nutrition. Make sure they know you keep kosher though - so they will give you "specialty cheese" or something like that which is cholov yisroel.

If you meet the income guidelines, that's all you need (as long as you can prove it).

Actually, you have to have a nutritional risk to qualify, on top of the income guidelines. Generally they use those forms you fill out to make up a qualification. Being under or overweight qualifies, low iron qualifies (hence the blood tests they do or ask you to bring results from), not eating enough vegis qualifies, allergies qualify, etc.
