I do. And, I'm assuming this is a spin-off from the other thread.
So, I was taught, with a regular blech/plata (plug in blech) on shabbos day, only dry, fully cooked food on an over turned pan.
A k'dera blech (one with water in the inside) you can also put wet food, w/o the over turned pan.
I do the first, I used to the second. _________________ Just Plain Frum!

| I learned like Mimisinger. There are different psakim, though. IIRC, many Sephardim hold you can put dry food on the plata (/hot plate) directly, without the overturned pan.

I use one. But all the "cooked" food gets put on "erev" shabbos, and remains there, untouched, till served. _________________ Because it's good!

I don't use a plata, I just leave all my stuff in the oven to keep warm friday night and I bring the soup to a boil than turn it off and cover it with a towel - it stays really hot. For shabbos day I put stuff on top of my cholent pot to get warm. I'm too scared with my little kids running around to keep something hot on when I'm not there all the time to watch it. _________________ Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.

If it's dry and fully cooked. _________________ I don't share my thoughts because I think it will change the minds of people who think differently. I share my thoughts to show the people who already think like me that they're not alone.

Dry, fully cooked, and put on the plata before Shabbat. But no overturned pot...I never learned that. Then I can put it back on Shabbat morning _________________ But then again, I'm a dragon.
