I do. And, I'm assuming this is a spin-off from the other thread.

So, I was taught, with a regular blech/plata (plug in blech) on shabbos day, only dry, fully cooked food on an over turned pan.

A k'dera blech (one with water in the inside) you can also put wet food, w/o the over turned pan.

I do the first, I used to the second.

I learned like Mimisinger. There are different psakim, though. IIRC, many Sephardim hold you can put dry food on the plata (/hot plate) directly, without the overturned pan.

I use one. But all the "cooked" food gets put on "erev" shabbos, and remains there, untouched, till served.

I don't use a plata, I just leave all my stuff in the oven to keep warm friday night and I bring the soup to a boil than turn it off and cover it with a towel - it stays really hot. For shabbos day I put stuff on top of my cholent pot to get warm. I'm too scared with my little kids running around to keep something hot on when I'm not there all the time to watch it.

If it's dry and fully cooked.

Dry, fully cooked, and put on the plata before Shabbat. But no overturned pot...I never learned that. Then I can put it back on Shabbat morning
