this sounds so incredibly simple that I have pushed off using it for such an expensive cut of meat, but I just used it for 1st days and it was FABULOUS! I couldn't believe that I made something that tasted so good! Cut onions (fry if you'd like first) put on bottom of pan. place roast, then pour BBQ sauce all over it. cover and bake. SOOOOOOO good!

Best recipe I don't know. Old faithful, yeah.
Put down large piece of foil, place on top of that
-one sliced onion
-brisket
- several spoons of onion soup mix
- 1/4 c. ketchup

cover tightly with foil, bake a few hours on low (325).
Separate meat from gravy, refrigerate separately overnight. Skim gravy, slice meat. Pour gravy over meat and freeze (or fridge) till ready to reheat and serve.

I make this sauce. We keep Chabad Minhagim so this doen't invove any processed foods. I peel tomatoes, - but that's up to you! My family enjoy this!

Put these ingredients in food processor:

4 tomatoes
1 large or 2 small onions
3/4 cup wine
1/2 cup sugar water or sugar.
1 Tablespoon salt
1/2 cup orange juice
2 Tablespoons lemon juice

Pour over meat and bake !

This is the way I usually make my brisket and it really comes out great.

can of cranberry sauce (I use jellied but can use either) and onion soup mix

shmear 1/2 the can of cranberry sauce on top of brisket and sprinkle generously with onion soup mix, bake after about 1 hour turn meat and shmear rest of cranberry sauce with more onion soup mix. great with mushrooms, potatoes, onions - whatever you'll eat on pesach.
