do you throw them away, put them away in the chamotz area??
I also have canned goods, not chometzdig , which I plan to keep.
I know some people get rid of everything!! I always feel like I should be it seems such a waste.

| I don't get rid of anything, aside from a regular clean-out of my fridge. I tape the cabinet with the spices shut, and the pantry closed as well.

same for me, I only get rid of chometz gamur, but ask your local rabbi. My neigbhor asked about soy sauce, w/ wheat ing. Rav told her it's not cometz gamur.
In the past I have sold whisky etc. spices, canned goods, ketchup etc. all goes in the garage w/ the pots & stuff.

Informative guide for selling chometz gamur - itemizes items and identifies them as chometz, chometz gamur and non-chometz. http://www.star-k.org/kashrus/kk-passover-chometzguideb4.htm
Btw, many canned foods are not even chometz at all, they are just kitniyos and don't even need to be sold.

Why would you throw away spices? _________________ Live the life you want to live. Be the person you want to remember. Make decisions. Make mistakes. If you failed, at least you tried.

| Spices and other "non chametz, but non Pesachdik" food I put in a separate pantry I use just for the occasion. I keep it in the basement. In the past, I used a big plastic storage bin.

I have an extensive collection of spices that gets used with a quick turnover... so I would never get rid of my spices
But in all seriousness, spices are not Chometz, and just get locked away with other non Chometz items in cabinets. _________________ Really Awesome Mom!

Same here. I'm as poor as a church mouse (shul mouse?) and losing any amount of food is a "great loss" by me.
