do you feel like it's time for Pesach / spring cleaning when there's a snowstorm raging outside? Where, oh, where is the spring?

Dunno. It's boiling here and my allergies are starting up. Try Pesach cleaning when you are sneezing everywhere at the same time!

DS#1 is wandering around the house saying "kiddush echad, kiddush shtayim, kiddush arba, matzah, lo challah!" OK, he's getting it.

We always had snow the first day of YT in chu"l, it was a running joke. With the weather we've been having here though, I feel like I must have missed Pesach entirely...

I thought this was about how hard it is to stay indoors pesach cleaning when it is so nice outside.

It's funny, but the water is always freeeezing pesach time here. Erev Pesach is usually a cold day. We've had snow yud alef nissan, and snow flurries on Shabbos Erev pesach two years ago. Whenever I bought summery YomTov outfits for my kids, they barely got to use it. Now they get summery clothes for Shavuos.

Proving the Torah was written for Eretz Yisrael.

Yesterday was actually so hot I had to wait until eight pm before it cooled down enough for me to get cleanin'
and now I have one room more or less clean for Pesach (albeit, my laundry room but whose counting?)

It's called chag ha'aviv, not chag hakayitz, isn't it?

well, I'm just taking a break after spending two hours wiping mildew off my boys' room ceiling. At least that room's not too hot. But there's something wrong with the light switch and I can't turn it off! So all the neighbours can see me wiping the ceiling with a sponja stick! I must look really weird - but then I guess they're used to that so we're ok!

OK, I take back my vent. I actually enjoyed today's walk in the sparkling, white, fluffy snow with the snowflakes falling gently around me. So I shouldn't have complained. It just doesn't feel Pesach-y, that's all.

hadasa, the warm weather is coming your way. We had a major snowstorm last week and today it's warm enough to be melting the last of the snowpiles.

Actually I love cleaning when a storm is raging outside...gives me an excuse to stay inside. What I hate is going to work or out shopping when a storm is raging ouitside. Oh, and washing windows...I never do that in a storm.

It also isn't Pesach yet on my continent. Unless you live on another planet, pesach is still 2 weeks away. You must be very young, or you'd know a heck of a lot of change can happen in 2 weeks. Actually you don't need 2 weeks. I recall one year when we had a major blizzard the Friday before Pesach--and that was in April. Pesach was gorgeous, I mean gor-jee-usss.

Yeah, I know that Pesach is still several rooms - including the kitchen - away from my doorstep. I'm just waiting for that feel in the air, you know? Just to let us know it's really coming? I mean, it could be Chanukah time, for all I know, so maybe I should be getting the Menorahs out instead of wiping down the Lego pieces? Confused

Anyhow, thanks for the compliment. I'm often told I look young Razz

I must learn quickly. Smile I'm not buying summer until after Shavuos. I'll never forget how spring cheated us last year!

Now this year takes the (Pesachdike) cake! Woke up this morning to a world covered in white, slushy, wet snow. Looks like no outdoors Ch"m outings this year ... Sad
