| |
I'm about to make my cakes for the MM and I'm making them in the brown paper small tube pans.
Anything I need to know? Do I spray them with PAM first? I do that normally, but should I now?
What else do I need to know?

do you mean you are lining the tins with brown paper? Then yes, I would think you need to grease. _________________ But then again, I'm a dragon.

| I'd put them on a cookie sheet, too.

you do not grease the brown paper pans. Like CM says-put them on a cookie sheet. _________________ A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.

I think she means disposable baking pan liners that are rigid enough to stand on their own. They're made of some smooth papery material that is usually brown or tan, sometimes with a printed design, like this: http://www.bakedeco.com/dept.asp?id=386.
They're nice for gift-giving because you don't have to have a million permanent pans cluttering up your house, and they can be cheaper than aluminum foil pans if you're going to use them only once.

Thanks everyone. Louche is right - I used those brown tube pans that are printed with gold because I think they're prettier than foil ones for MM.
As for everything else. Some I sprayed, some I didn't. I didn't use a tray underneath, a) because I didn't see the message on time and b) it alters the cooking time.
But, B"H they look good, so I hope they taste good as well.
