| |
Yes, I am one of the real meshugennas when it comes to purim. theme costumes, matching shalach manos and poem (no-the seuda does not need to be part of my theme).
My kids and I came up with our theme for this year-"captain"
So far we have:
Captain of the football team
Captain America
Army captain
Captain of industry
Pirate captain
Airline captain (maybe)
Now I need food ideas-cheap ones preferably. The only ones we came up with are captain crunch cereal, and captain morgan rum-which, even if kosher, I would not use.
So, anybody got any ideas to help us out.
TIA

| I suppose you won't want stuffed mushroom caps? You could theme it to the particular captain that you choose, like red, white and blue for Captain America, etc.

I like the stuffed mushroom caps idea-except that most of it will probably not be eaten but thrown out-Not worth my time then.
I know ive seen party bags with pirate booty written on them-was thinking about using them for the mm.

Would this work for you? You could put it over your MM -- it's too thin to actually put them in, which was my first idea.

cute, but I'm too cheap to spend money on packaging. I usually use plain brown lunch bags and tie it in. I thought about calling them airsick bags, but that is too sick to send food in!!!
by the way, I give out about 100 mm-so I keep it small and cheap-otherwise I cant afford it.
I do think I will make some sort of Bar cookie and call them "captains bars".
