Which warm winter tights last? Not asking ab. the prices, just quality. Will anything last through the winter, or better yet, gets passed down to the next daughter? I have used Ch.Place and Gymboree in the past. CH.Pl. can be bought cheaply on sale but the quality is not so good, some don't even make it through the season.
TIA

| I bought my daughter tights from Gap. She wore them last winter and now this winter again and they still look nice - the material didn't pimple. I wash them inside out and I hang them to dry.

Sternlein tights are top of the line, amazing, but very expensive. I got a bunch of them once through a co-op for a decent price. The sizes run big. Ours lasted nearly two years of constant use (Summer and Winter) and some were passed down to the next child.

| For years I have been trying all different tights- old navy, children's place, gap, trimfit, some french brand I forgot the name- my daughters would wear and rip with in a few wears. In september I bought tights from H&M and lands end- I ahve to say these are fantastic. Not one hole not one rip and we are talking about 6-8 pairs. They are all in perfect shape I am waiting for them to go on sale and plan on buying more for next year.

Mommy24,
do you find Lands End run true to size? (I find Gap to be on the big side for my kids, and Gymboree tights true to size). For an average-sized 5yo, should you get size S?
Thank you

my daughter wears size xxs from lands end, that is equivelant to size 12-24 months from gap
(she's 4... and tiny...)
and personally, from my experience between gap, old navy, gymboree, janie and jack (to name just a few) ... gap surely beat the rest! the only other company that lasts as long, and doesn't pill, are the carlino tights I get in the local stores. (they only comein solid ribbed ones though, no patterns)

| I find the H&m ones last beautifully I was able to put away all of last years for another kid and this year I bought some of the H&m and some others and many of the others are ready for the garbage and they have not been worn nearly as much as the H&M which look perfect

hmmm.. that's one brand I haven't tried yet.
Do they run small, or true to size?

| For sizes I think that both H&M and lands end run true to size, although the ones from H&M seem much bigger. When comparing to Gap, I think h&m is similar insizing, while lands end runs smaller.

Can't comment on girls, as I only have boys!
But, other than Gymboree, I have tried most of these brands and have to agree with ahuvasmom: Hannah Anderson are great. Very comfy, and excellent quality. Still look like the day I got them, after a few years. (To be fair, I only wear warm winter tights on VERY cold days, and one winter out of the few years, I was pregnant, so not wearing my reg stuff! Still, I consider these tights worth the price)

| My daughter will only wear the Trimfit tights (so far). They come in solids, as well as some prints, so we got some to match her uniform. She doesn't wear them all the time, but they do wear, wash, and last nicely. No pills. Few, if any tears or holes. This is the only brand she has worn more than once, and they're not as expensive as the other brands in the local stores.

the gap tights are the only ones I have tried that didn't pill after a season...
as for Hanna Anderson, I would love to try them but, the maximum I spend on tights is 12 bucks a pair (and that is not cheap either) and the hanna anderson's are more costly

| I've had good luck with lands end. And if you're not happy, their stuff is guaranteed so you can always ship it back.

I dont know when hanna anderson has sales but you can check online and see if there is an outlet near you. alot of the time you can find great prices at the outlets
and I think all their clothing is great quality so it ends up being worth the price
I was always very picky about the feeling of tights and as a kid these were among the few I would wear they are very comfy

| Just btw, Hanna Anderson is having major sales now - dont know if any tights are left (and in general they are out of stock of many adorable things already) but it may be worth a check.
