I just created a facebook group for Jewish homeschoolers. Join the group and share your ideas about homeschooling. I think it will be great to share our ideas! It is a closed group.
Amother here becuse I don't want my screen name linked to my real name on the group!

Just wondering why you think FB is the best way to have such a group? Seems like it would be hard to have the back-and-forth to discuss the big issues you want to discuss. I find FB to be more of a "quick comment" kind of place....

You're probably familiar w. these groups, but in case others reading this aren't, there are three main international online groups for hs'ing (descriptions from the groups themselves):

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/chevra/
Chevra is an online support community for Jewish homeschoolers of all varieties. It tends to be a very chatty place to discuss Jewish observance, homeschooling, family life, outside interests, etc. To join, write to the list manager at chevra-owner @ yahoogroups.com. You will be asked to write a few paragraphs introducing yourself before your subscription will be completed. Please note: Chevra is a Jewishly pluralistic list. It welcomes and respects all points of view, EXCEPT for the one that says there is only "One True Way" to be Jewish.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/JewishHomeSchoolers
The focus of this list is to provide homeschooling support and resources to Jewish homeschoolers of all levels of observance. Appropriate topics include curriculum choices, teaching tips, and holiday observances. This informal relaxed list is restricted and discussion is limited to homeschooling and Judaism.

Scroll to Torch-D to subscribe to the Torah-centered homeschooling list. This list is for Observant Jewish homeschoolers.

OP here: I never said that I thought Facebook was the best way to have a group. I just thought it was a nice idea to have one since many people use Facebook. I couldn't find one, so I took the initiative and started one.

Fair enough. I worded my response poorly, since you didn't say anything about it being "the best way" to have these types of discussions. I still don't see FB as at all conducive to any sort of in-depth talks, but hatzlacha to you and I hope you find what you're looking for.
