I'm sick of making oriental spaghetti salad all the time.
My guests don't touch all the variations of pasta salad I have tried.
Looking for something with garlic, soy sauce maybe...dunno really!

I did a search but didn't come up with anything. It may have been posted in another thread but I'll have a really hard time finding it.

There's an amazing recipe for angel hair pasta with tomatoes and basil in the second kosher palette. I don't have the cookbook, but it's scallions, garlic, plum tomatoes cooked into a sauce with some spices and then served over angel hair. We all love it! I'm not sure what the name of the recipe is, but im sure if you looked in the index you would find it.

just create your own ... in a pan with olive oil - put several cloves of crushed or chopped garlic ... add what you like as far as other spices - oregano, black pepper, salt ...

I've done similar to manny and added to above sliced black olives, plum tomatoes cut into halves, and sprinkle with parmigiana cheese

Well this isn't really a recipe, but I make this all the time and get rave reviews.

1 pkg. spaghetti (or other pasta)
6-8 cloves garlic, crushed
olive oil
salt to taste
parsley flakes or scallions

Cook pasta. Rinse and drain.
Drizzle with olive oil. Add crushed garlic and parsley flakes or scallions. Drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt to taste. (Kosher salt gives it a really good taste.)
Toss to combine.

I don't really follow recipes for cooking (just for baking), so I can't give you an exact recipe, but you can mix olive oil with crushed fresh garlic, steamed brocolli florets, sundried tomatoes, and spices like oregano, basil, salt, pepper...and mix it into cooked pasta, either spaghetti or tri-colored pasta or whatever.

here's one that is different and my guest always love it......
Basil Pasta Salad

Tri-colored curly noodles

Dressing:
Fresh basil
5 cloves garlic
1/2 cup mayonaise
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup vinegar
black pepper

put ingredient in food processor/ blender......... blend until basil is all crushed up...

you can also add green beans, corn, peas... to the pasta though I usually leave it out

I basically use the same recipe just add to this a 1/4 cup of soy sauce

This is a winner: (I'd use the bread crumbs)

Pasta With Garlic and Oil (Pasta Aglio E Olio) Recipe #154384
Can it get any easier?! I lived in Naples, Italy 3 years and loved learning the authentic dishes. I never have made it with the bread crumbs but you may like it so I added that option in.
