Sadly my ex had a psychotic boyfriend that stole his identity, and unbenounced to him also STOLE MY INFORMATION!!!
So when they did a back ground check for nursing school up popped this address in TN!! I have never lived in TN, so I freaked out!
I checked my credit report, and up pops all of these requests for car loans and credit cards.
B"H my ex ruined my credit, and none of them went through!!

the only thing annoying is that now I have to put a freeze on my ss#, so that no one can use my ss# (including me!) without a pin number that only I will have.
So when ever I get my life cleaned up, credit wise, it's going to be a nightmare to get anything on credit. which I guess is better in some ways?!

If you search under my sn, you would discover that my dxh decided he was gay about 3-4 years ago. I was divorced about 6 years by that time.
he had a bf before I got married second time around, that bf ended up being psychotic.

Yes, you can, but only if you can prove that your current ss# is being used fraudulently.

Thanks, IYamWhoIYam. My FIL stole my dh's identity, and I was wondering if there's such a thing as a new ss#. Yes, I have enough proof of his identity theft, and of his signing my dh's name. He actually didn't even have the common sense to look at dh's signature before trying to forge it, and I was able to verify this with the bank over the phone, (I didn't even have to see it to verify this!) that's how obvious it was!

The only way to get a new social is related to domestic abuse. If someone stole your identity ( happened to me) you just need to put your social under lock and key with the credit bureau's.
