Hi there,
I need your advice in decision making.
We are a large family who relocated numerous times between US and several parts of EY. We have been self employed for ten years, but our business is currently suffering dramatically from the recession, (like many others, of course). We have the possibility to expand dramatically by relocating in south america for a few years. That would cut off the high expenses of american lifestyle.Other there we could open a factory real cheap and start our own production, which we already have the demand for as well as the customers.(It is our dream). My husband is there right now and very enthousiastic.(So am I).
The only thing is, it is a small town without jewish school or community near by.There is a beth chabad (which we're not affiliated with, but we admire them). And it is a popular location for tourists and business. There are large amounts of jews on shabbos. We could do a lot of kiruv. My husband is a shochet and can do it there, of course.
The only question is the kids!
Over there, we could afford to hire private teachers for next to nothing but they won't have any jewish friends.
Is it crazy to go for it?
Kids age is 16 - 2.
Let me explain again that we barely make it in the US and can barely afford the schools, next year we need to send two more kids. We know for a fact that this business can garranty our economic future.
What should we do?
Stay here for the kids and get more and more in debts?
Separate us from my husband (he would be there and me here), or go for it?
By the way, I really want to try it out, maybe just for one or two years.
Please give me your input and honest opinion.
Thanks a bunch!!

I would say, try it out. Sounds like a grand adventure with great prospects!
What do the Chabad family's kids do about school?
