| |
| I loved the Savta Simcha books as a kid and would love to share them with my own offspring. Does anyone know if they are still available and/or where I can get them? And are there 5 of them or more that I don't remember? The titles I recall are Savta Simcha and the: Shabbos Bag, Cinnamon Tree, Roundabout Journey to Jerusalem, Seven Splendid Gifts, and Strange Stone something-or-other, are these all?

| I seem to remember that aish had audio recordings of the author herself reading the books? Several of them! I found it maybe a year ago. I'm pretty sure that's where it was. It was free!

| Excellent books!! It was such a great feeling for me when my daughter read them this year. She's eight years old ka"h. She actually read MY hard-cover copies that I owned from when I was a kid. She loved them....... Now she's zooming through the Harry Potter series.

yes, they are fantastic, aren't they? I have one left over from my own childhood and I read it to 5yr old dd...she was totally spellbound. made me read 73 pages all in one sitting, lol!
alpidarkomama, I searched for those recordings but couldn't find them anywhere . would've been so cool.

The best! They are still around. Feldheim carries them, and they should be available in a good Jewish bookstore.
Yaffa Ganz is really the best frum kids' author I have read!

| I loved them as a kid too. Does anyone have a favorite, I think I will buy one for my kids for chanukah. Which is the best? Are they continuations of eachother or you can read them in any order?

| ì would start with the first one. The first 2 are great, the others good, but its more fun to read them order so you know where everyone is coming from.

| I have such fond memories of my second grade teacher reading them to us. My mom bought some whole (not ground) nutmeg for me to take to school because of her nutmeg tree,

| OOC can anyone solve for me where Ezra and Tehila come from? As a kid I must have missed the book where it explains who they were. I was always wondering if they were related or orphans?
