Friend's cat died

He was an old old cat who always came out when orchim came or if there was a shiur in the house. I often cat sat for him so he was also a friend.

I know it sounds silly, but he was sweet and will be missed....

It's not silly. It's only silly to someone who doesn't like animals. Anyone who has a pet, or likes animals, will be upset when a pet they were "close to" dies.

I once read a survey if people were to pass a beach and see their pet dog drowning and a stranger's child, who they would rescue first. The astonishing results showed that 99% of the people would've ran for their pet dog first.
Pet lovers did not find this survey astonishing at all, as they become very attached to their pets, especially dogs.

Here are my condolences....
I'm so sorry about your friend's sweet cat's death. Take the time to grieve. it is normal to feel this way under the circumstances.

Hope you have some photos of him/her.

We have a pet hare and even though it's mostly my kids who take care of him I just want him to outlive us, I hate to think of losing him.
