I did this last year and out it into the little cup/pitcher thing that’s attached to the menorah that’s meant to pour oil from. I asked for several items and most notably for a child. A month after after chanuka we got a infertility diagnosis and two months after that we got pregnant naturally. Bh I just had our first child.

I tried to do it this zos chanukah. My husband noticed the note attached to the menorah and took it off.
He reminded me that we believe in davening straight to Hashem, not hocus pocus.
I'm davening daily for a yeshua. .. .

Yes Bh pregnant, very early pregnancy .... but pregnant.
