That's what waitlisted are for. But if were rejected?

It might move you on to the wait-list. Which might be very small. It's worth a try. Sometimes, at the last minute, a girl has to pull out, and knowing that you were really eager can bump you into that spot. Nothing is guaranteed, but it's always worth trying.

If you were rejected, you aren't on the waitlist. Did you mean to call the seminary that waitlisted or the one who rejected as well?

Tell her that a lady on Imamother, got rejected from 4 seminaries a few years ago. Got pushed into one seminary after a month. And was one of the first in her grade to get married and then have a baby. 🙃

But seriously, it was super painful to go through. I think your emotional support for her will help her get through it.

This is off topic but not everyone values being the first in the grade to get married and have a baby…

Both. Sometimes a rejection gets moved to the waitlist if enough girls go elsewhere. No one likes to advertise that they were the second choice so people don't always see places opening up. But so long as some kids are getting accepted to more than one place, it's possible to move up from the waitlist or even from a rejection. Obviously, much depends on how high the yield is that year, but schools do want to take girls who are really eager to come.
