Can you PLEASE change the title of the thread to something more generic with some sort of warning, so that someone who is not looking to read horrible news doesn't have it thrown in their face? please

I wonder if it would make sense to limit postings in this section that are relevant to Jews, parenting, etc., but excluding news that is just sensational or upsetting...

Even if it's not a hard-and-fast rule, I personally would rather find here discussions of news that affects our lives, or that we can learn from, or discuss intellectually for a constructive purpose. (Even the story of the mother of octuplets has aspects that we can think about from a Jewish perspective.)

I guess I feel like this kind of story, of just bad, sad parenting, doesn't offer us anything and can be found on news sites if people are interested.

Nothing personal to the OP, because I understand the impulse to share something that is this shocking. But I think others agree that this might not be the place for this type of news story to be shared.

I read the same news years ago,have nightmare till now!better not have goyishe news on our good yiddishe website.

I didn't watch the clip (no sound on work comp), but from what I gather- a dad put a baby in the dryer and let him/her roll around there... right>?

anyway- this may come off crazy, but one of my childhood memories is the following:
me and my 2 bro's were playing hide-and-seek. I decided to hide in the dryer! my bro heard me giggling and AS A JOKE he turned it on... it was on for a total of like 3 secs, but it was SO MUCH FUN!!! it was like a roller coaster!! after that we all took turns... (till my mother found us, and started yelling her head off... Laughing

)
(I should add- I was around 8 and my bro around 7)

OK... that was a crazy-stupid-kid thing to do. B"H none of you were hurt. The child in the story had bruises, as far as I know, and probably will not have fond memories of the event.

Ok I edited the title, now if ppl don't click to find out why turning on the dryer was a cirme...
