TTI Learning Course

I was just wondering if anyone here has ever heard of TTI
(Testing and Training International,a correspondence course)?
and if any one has actually completed the whole course(with masters) and got a job which pays more then if you wouldn't have a degree?TIA

I definitely know people who have gotten their degree through TTI (aka Raizel Reit, btw), and then have gotten good jobs. Personally I can't really answer that question, because I took a break from school for a while, so I didn't get further than my BA.

I got my bachelors through excelsior college (I believe that's the same place that tti goes through). I used it as a spring board for my masters- went to "real" college for that. I was afraid I wouldn't get a good paying job, also. here is the thing, though. If you plan on working through the board of education, the only thing they care about is that paper that you are certified. However, if you want to work in privately run agencies or schools they can be much pickier.

Many places do not care from where you got your certification/degree as long as you have the piece of paper, especially the gov't funded programs.

I did my Masters through TTI (the masters is not correspondence), when it was through College of New Rochelle (now it's through a different college). I work for the Board of Ed and make a lot more than if I didnt have a degree. On my resume it says the name of the college, not TTI. No one looked twice and nobody's asking if it was correspondence or something else.

I think some private agencies care (frum run) and the really good private jewish schools care.

I only know of one private jewish school that cares and if you prove that you're a very competent teacher, they'll take you anyway. I believe it all boils down to experience. An experienced teacher is a good one.

Does anyone know anyone who get a BA from TTI-Liberal ARTS and went on to change to speech or O/T in a regular non TTI college successfully?

Anyone know if the TTI Bachelors in LIberal Arts is accepted by Hunter School of Social Work or Brooklyn College Masters in Speech? Anyone????

I think experience makes the difference. You can have GREAT teachers with a TTI degree and lousy ones. It is a very individual thing. You cannot make a blanket statement that all TTI graduates are worthless...

I work for TTI (aka "Raizel Reit" Program.) The focus of TTI is to help students get their Bachelors Degree from Excelsior College. Students completing their BA have the ability to apply and be accepted to any Masters Program, as their diploma comes from Excelsior and many TTI students get accepted to "main stream" and other "frum" Masters Programs.

We have students who finish their BA with us and from other schools who apply for our Masters Programs. Any student who finishes their Masters Degree thru a TTI cohort receives his/her diploma from our Partnering University.

TTI graduates, regardless of their degree level, find jobs in many industries and states. Remember, the degree is from an accredited university...

On a side note, TTI offers students the flexibility of completing a degree from anywhere. We have students who start in the States and finish from Israel... start in seminary and finish from home... There is no age limit for getting your degree. You can start at almost anytime...

I have a friend getting her degree through TTI. It constantly astounds me that she gets As and A+s for work that has error after error.

I also know lots of women who managed to get life experience credits at TTI for work they never did.

At first I found this shocking, now I find it pathetic and scary. Scary because these unqualified people can do real damage, especially when working with children as many of them will be doing.

I got ba thru tti and did have a problem switching to a regular college for speech- to answer that ques..most regular college will not accept tti as fr as my experience goes

I did TTI for my B.A> and found that I was able to get into a M.Ed program which seems to be the main factor in job hunting.
