Sewing ladies - please help me!!!

What is the best way to make a little red riding hood cape???
I know it's crazy I've made skirts and dresses, but suddenly my mind is blank!!!

the cape itself is easy. hem a rectangular piece of red fabric on three sides. on the fourth, make a running stitch along the whole side and pull the thread to bunch it.

hood- take a smaller rectangle of fabric. fold in half lengthwise and sew along one edge from fold to corners. after you have your hood, attach it to the bunched part of the cape. sew some ribbons on to tie the cape.

I hope this is clear, it's easier to demonstrate...

cape- take 2 rectangles that are tapered liek an A shape round the edges for shoulders, sew up thiose seams. cut down one panel for the opening.
for hood do what she said.

not sure if I'm thinking straight but I would take one piece hm off 3 sides the third side I would fold together and create a hood ... then I would create a ribbon slot in the neck area and put a ribbon in and tightening this ribbon would tighten the hood as well ... Scratching Head
