My four year old daughter has a cast to correct her clubfoot. Every where we go people see her in her bright pink cast and ask me what happened to her. This question can be asked sometimes 10 times a day. Any advice how I can answer without having to go through her whole medical history? I tried saying she fell skiing but people don't take me seriously.

Do you feel uncomfortable about telling them, it's because of a clubbed foot or that's never enough, they want more info?

I'm a pretty open person but it's not really anyones bussiness. I feel it's unfair to my daughter to share her personal info. Also a club foot is supposed to be corrected since birth so when I tell people that she has a clubfoot I feel the need to explain we thought we had corrected it with casts, shoes and braces a few years ago.

IMO, it's best to just tell people the truth.

You should say that she's having trouble with her foot and needs a cast and I'm sorry, but I don't want to discuss it or get into it more. You can add that iy"h, hopefully when the cast will be removed she'll be better, if that's the case or something like that anyway. If you put the persons mind at ease, they probably wouldn't ask anymore questions.
