Hi! I's like to make a birthday cake for my daughter's class in a cookie sheet (very big-but low cake) so that I have more to decorate. Does anyone have a recipe for the basic white cake (for a cookie sheet)? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup I got it from my Wilton instructor & I've used it many times. Here goes:

9 eggs
3 c sugar
1 c oil
1 c water
5 t vanilla extract
3 c flour
3 t baking powder

Beat eggs with sugar for 6-10 minutes until fluffy.
Put mixer on low/medium speed & slowly add oil, water, vanilla.
Lower speed to low & add flour with baking powder 1 tablespoon at a time. Do not overbeat.

I used this in an 11x15" pan for my son's birthday. It was only about 2 inches high so I didn't split it & put filling, I just decorated the top & sides.
