Anyone have the contact info for tori wigs. I would love to go today but need a phone # to call and see if their open or at least an address as I don't remember exactly where it is.

ok, I went on google to find it, but what about their cuts. Should I get it cut there? Or go elsewhere?

TORI Wigs Not sure of the exact address but its on Nostrand Ave. right near Ave. P..........I've heard from several friends that they have a nice selection, great service and amazing cuts. One friend just told me she bought 2 wigs there and is relieved she finally found her "place" LOL
I casually know one of the owners and she is sooooo nice!
I'm going in next week......

I have never heard of Tori wigs before. What has been peoples experience with them? I am thinking about possibly buying a new shaitel sometime soon and would be interested in finding out about them. (I am not happy with the shaitels that I have now).

Here's the info I have: They just opened up a few months ago, and they're very eager to make people happy.

They don't buy shaitels from a distributor. They personally work with a manufacturer overseas and then with wigmakers here in the U.S. to "finish" the shaitels. I know they make multiple trips abroad each year to make sure the manufacturer is living up to their specifications.

My understanding is that they are trying to offer the quality of a Shevy-type shaitel at a lesser cost -- by elminating the distribution network and having the shaitels made to their specifications.

As I mentioned, my cousin is one of the owners. Since I'm personally a devoted Paula Young synthetic devotee, there are probably lots of details that discerning shaitel consumers understand that go right over my head (no pun intended!). TORI Wigs - I finally made it there and ended up buying 2 sheitels. GREAT experience! The owners are there all the time and really know what they're doing. Large selection and prices are very reasonable. They even serve coffee! LOL
