Does anyone know of a girls high school for girls w/ ADHD?

Does anyone know of a girls high school that will work with girls who have ADHD?

There is a school on 17th and 65th, I think it's called Tiferes Miriam that deals with children not in regular mainstream schools.

OP here: We live in NY- but so far, the schools around here have not been appropriate for her. We are willing to send her out of town if that's where she needs to go. I'm not looking for a grueling program that will "beat the ADHD out of her" Smile

. I'm looking for a program that will understand her limitations, appreciate her "cochos", and help her develop good and healthy hashkafos.

She's had some negative school experiences already, with the administration making her feel rotten because she can't sit still in class. She's a great kid with a lot of potential, but I need the right school to help me nurture it.

Any ideas?

there are no specific schools, not to my knowledge, for children with adhd. Tiferes miriam is a school for emotional problems. The other schools deal with girls that are either bts, or come from broken families, and then there are schools for street girls.

If your daughter is just regular with an adhd problem, you have to find a mainstream school that will be willing to work with you to modify her program. If you don't want to expose your daughter to the rougher elements out there, this is what you probably have to do. if you would like you can pm me.
