Do you keep confidential laws in front of dh? Meaning if you have to speak to a parent will you do it in another room? or when dh is not home?

Never a therapist but as a semi retired special ed teacher ya I did keep confidentiality with my hubby... most info he didn't need to know or even want to know anyways.

If a spouse is interested, you can give a rundown of your day,. but it’s not right to share names and frankly, they shouldn’t be shared.

Both my husband and I work in fields where confidentiality is required (I do therapy consults.) And yes, we both get shooed out the room by the other sometimes, but it's part of the work. When I was working full time, our evenings were kind of funny.

-"Hi, honey. How was your day?"
---"Fine, yours?"
-"Fine."

And that was it! Laughing (Of course, I have said I had a hard day, but never specifically why!)

I don't keep the confidentiality laws at home at all. I would if I worked in the frum?Jewish populations (I.e. if there was a chance my dh would know the person) but I work with the Spanish population, and there names are just that - names. They mean nothing to dh. I work with little kids so sometimes I even show their pictures to dh. I get work related calls at home very often and I never kick dh out of the room. I also have various paperwork relating to my job all over the house - and no, I couldn't care less if he saw them. I did once have a frum client (not someone my dh has any connection to, but ya never know). So with her I was very careful. I never shared her name, and I used only initials on her paperwork. I felt for the kid, and the kids family (a very messed up situation) and I wanted to protect her privacy.
