| I just spilled oil in my oven. I'm baking a potato kugel and can't turn it off now. What should I do? Oil is burning, it stinks. Is it dangerous? Or just a tremendous mess to clean up afterwards?

| I had this. No choice, TURN IT OFF! It is dangerous. Ask a neighbor who is still up to use her oven and spray easy off and leave it to tomorrow.

| About 2 tablespoons, maybe a little more. I shut it off, and wiped it with a wet cloth after it cooled a little. Opened the windows, so the smells is going out. Safe to turn on again now?

| Is it cleaned or still black? Maybe turn it back on and wait there for twenty minutes or so to smell if there are any problems.

| It's cleaner than it was, now there's just black spots all over the bottom. It smells a little when I put it on, but the smoke detector isn't ringing like before.

| I found the best thing to do for that is to spray easy off fume free, let it sit overnight and wipe clean. I did this a few nights in a row and it really helped.

Thanks green, I never knew that about baking soda.
Fab, I don't have easy off, I have Shumanit Cold Grease Remover, can I use that instead?
I'll email you a piece of kugel
