Does anyone have the recipe for potato kugel in the style of Dovid Malka (a Crown Heights caterer). It is especially good and I'd love to have it to make at home. I can't seem to replicate it.

(Please feel free to email me if you have the actual recipe which probably should not be made public without his permission.)

The one in Kosher By Design is the closest I've got! It's really good, and I think it's quite similar to his. Let me know if you need the recipe.

for that matter, if anybody has ANY recipes from dovid malka, could you post them?? ESPECIALLY, the one that is called (I think) greek or turkish eggplant salad/spread. (I hope I'm not 'stealing' the thread!)
I think the ingredients include (caps is for sure):

EGGPLANT
PICKLES
SCALLIONS
PICKLED RED PEPPER
Sugar
Ketchup
Vinegar
Salt
Pepper
Fresh garlic
Lemon juice

some people have a chush (talent) for figuring these things out. Besides, not all his recipes are exlusively his, and people may know , from other sources, how to make things he makes.

Please post the Kosher by Design one if you will. I have the Kosher by Design Entertaining, and Kosher Palette, but not that one.

Many thanks
