PSA Regarding Baby Jogger City Mini Double

Hi Ladies,

I spoke yesterday to the customer service rep at Baby Jogger regarding the BJ City Mini Double, and thought some of you may be interested in the answers I got (GREAT customer service, by the way).

The car seat adapter for (one seat of) the double will be out January 2009. It will be compatible with 2008 as well as 2009 strollers. You can see it if you go to BJ website and choose "download catalog" from the "customer care" drop down menu. The really cool thing (and impressive to see how concerned they are w/ safety) is that you can see that the car seat can "slide" along the adapter bar, so that if you only have the baby in the car seat will be centered along the front of the stroller and weight will be evenly distributed. I was not thrilled with any of the 2008 color selections, so was glad to see 2 new colors for 2009's (both of which are available now). Prices on 2009's are still the same as 2008's at $399. One new color is the "black/stone" which you can see on the catalog as well as sites like mystrollers.com. When you go to the website it says that this color is backordered, but the customer rep assured me that they are in stock at BJ, and as soon as an order is put in by a customer, she personally would be the one shipping it out. So there shouldn't be any significant delay time if anyone likes that option. I think this color is very nice, but a bit light so I don't know if I am going to get it.

Color option #2 which she told me about (also a 2009 stroller) is an exclusive design only available at albeebaby.com. It is brown and tan. It actually looks quite nice, and this is what I think I will be ordering.

This is now pretty much #1 on my list... I'm due in March and will hopefully be in the US in June so I can get it then.

I got my black one 2 days after it came into the stores (I had it on backorder).
I love it! Glad it didn't cost much as I hardly use it anymore.
