amother off course u are tired u worked a double shift every day. if u work any work and take care of your kids then off course u are tired . we are cramming in 2 workloads in the same time . get what I am saying.

and it isno shame not to be super mommy or women of the year.. do yourselve a favour and get a cleaning lady to take care of stuff. for me it is the mountaions and montains of laundry... etc. anything that would make your life easier do it.... plastic dishes. etc. at the end of the day your kids do not want to see you wash that hundred dish etc. and my kids still complain that I am cleaning all day..etc. lol. and I am talking basics. like throwing in some laundry and cooking and washing dishes. there is only so many hrs in a day..

in my field the hours are technically flexible but that really means you leave when your work is done. which means if you need 3 experiments validating something, you're not leaving till they are done- or are at a stage where they can be left to sit overnight.
so I get in around 9, 9:30 and I usually leave around 6-something but that can stretch to 7, 7:30, or 8 some nights. so figure MTWT I work 9:30-6:30- 8 hoursx4days=is 36 hours, and then another 4, 5, or 6 hours on friday, depending on the season. So I guess that averages out to something right around 40 hours a week.
No kids yet, DH works and is in school, and we just started getting cleaning help like once a month.

I work a 40 hour week & have worked approximately that amount throughout. My oldest is 29 yo & my youngest is 12. The most I ever took off was for kid #7, (six weeks). The rest I just took off 2-3 weeks. When my oldest was 8, I had six kids, why would I want to stay home???? Laughing
My DH does all the cleaning, cooking & shopping and I get occasional cleaning help.

wow!! is he a stay at home dad?

No my DH learns full time, but manages to do all the housework. I think he appreciates the fact that he can learn full time and therefore does not mind doing the housework and he does not require that much sleep. But the real secret is that I never criticize how he runs the house.

I work 40 hours a week. Well that is the official amount that I work but I, obviously, leave early on Fridays (times depends on the season) so it is a little less (and I do not stay late or come early on other days to make up for Fridays). I have just one child and no help (well besides a babysitter), but my husband does help me.

I work 35 hours a week. 4 day a week I work from 8:30 to 2 and one day I work from 8:30 to 6. I have another 2.5 hours a week I am supposed to complete from home. Theoretically, it is commute should be 45 min. but I don't drive (yes, I know I owe it to myself blah blah blah, it's not so easy in Isreal, I took severl tests a couple of years back and I really do mean to try again soon). I usually drive in to work w. my husband (about an hour including traffic). Getting home is a different story every day. I have a bus that brings me home at 4-ish but my kids schools end at 3:30 and 3:45. So I hitch a ride to Efrat hoping that there will be someone driving into my Yishuv/settelment to get home in time to pick up the kids.
That's Israel for you.
No help at all.
My oldest (3.5) is in Gan - preschool and youngest (almost 2) is in Maon - day care.
