OP here.
My baby had one borderline lead reading and one, two months later, high. She was sent to the lab to check if those results were correct.
To she who asked, around here lead test is usually done at a year and at two years. Actually, my son is 4 and he had it done recently, so maybe they keep checking it?
The dr told me that if her lead is high, someone will come & check house to see where lead is coming from. Although our bungalow colony had peeling paint, our home does not B"H, so I don't know why she had even borderline lead level before we went upstate. Maybe from playing outside? We will have to see.
Thanks everyone for suggestions. anyone else who has info, would be appreciated

DS had high results on the finger prick test. We went back to the doctor for a regular blood test and it was normal.

If you're nursing, you should get yourself tested for lead too.

interesting about getting myself checked....never thought of that!
Her lead was high when we did venous blood test at lab. Sad They said they have to report to depart of health who will come check out home. Meanwhile, we only got letter from Dept of Health on how to prevent lead poisoning. We didn't realize it may be coming from backyard peeling paint that comes in on our shoes, or she could get from playing outside. The other kids don't have high lead B"H, so hopefully as she stops putting things in her mouth and is walking more, it'll go down....
