"Rosasharn, our stocks have done plummeted! You get out theyar and pick some o' these heyar grapes, yew heeyar me?"

great book, but I don't think the stocks are going to cause any dust-bowl situations.

Yeah. I remembered something like that.
What a depressing story. After I closed the last page of the book I didn't want to read it ever again. And I can usually read a book dozens of times.
My memory of reading it is actually kind of funny, because of this brute in my class. Won't read funny if I type it, but it's lessened the darkness I remember during the time I was reading it. It was a beautiful story, and one of my mother's favorite books, and I do remember being affected by it. I also vaguely remember the movie, starring Henry Fonda when he was so young and beautiful, and Jane Darwell as Ma Joad.

Thanks. I kept saying I wasn't going to get an avatar until GR got one...but I changed my mind.

Anyway, back to Steinbeck.

I'm completely confused on this thread. Mimivan, I can't tell what you're avatar is. Evil or Very Mad And Tamiri, I don't have one and I don't think I would use a picture of the Rebbe or 770. I can't decide on what I'd use for an avatar, I'm too picky.

why the angry face GR??

Tamiri...it is not the Rebbe, it is just a chassid davening...

that's right. I live in a cave. I meant the stocks aren't going to cause a natural drought.

say, any of you ever read founder's praise?
