I was looking through my mothers old recipes and I found a piece of notebook paper. It had my handwriting from probably when I was like in 3rd grade.
Who can figure out what I was trying to write? There arent any directions or a name for the recipe.

375 15 mins
1) 1 stick cup margarine (1/2 cup)
2) 1/2 c sugar
3)2 eggs
4)1 teespoon vanilla
5)2 1/2 cups flour
6)2 teespoons baking powder
7) Cook
8) poppyseed

Thats how its written on the paper.
Any guesses?

I’m pretty sure it’s cupcakes or cookies. I would guess the poppy seeds are sprinkled on top before baking.

My grandmother makes those poppyseeds rugela-like thing. Maybe that's what it is. But I think the poppyseeds would be some sort of mixture?

u cant just add poppyseeds to a hamantaschen to make it a poppy seed homantachen u have to gring the seeds and add somthing sweet to it otherwise it would just fall out of the cookie.

the recipie is a very basic cookie dough recipe the baking powder makes it rise and the rest would indicate basic cookie dough so to me makes sence its a poppyseed cookie.....

.to make poppyseed rugalach you would probably make a yeast dough there is no yeast in that recipe

The word poppyseed may mean poppyseed filling.

hamentaschen makes sense. Maybe you guys were doing it as some sort of activity? I know when I was that age I helped make hamentashen. Also the recipe just fits with any hamentashen recipe I've seen.
