When you shop in Moishes, Kollel, Paperific, Goldbergs, Friedmans........... many of the products are close to their expiration dates. I always find the chips/ rice cakes/ crackers to be stale. You need to pay close attention to the dates on every product you buy. To top it off many of the brands that sell to the "discount groceries" repackage their canned goods once they expire. Furthermore the fish you buy {I.e. salmon} in the "discount stores" all come from China. The fish is loaded with garbage you shouldn't be eating. In short you get what you pay for. As for me I'm a Landaus/Glatt Mart customer so Pomegranate is just a bit closer to my house, and the same price point as my previous market. I'm thrilled to shop there.
