Step daughter

I dont see a section for blended families is there a big enough group out there to suggest one?

my youngest step daughter just turmed 9!!! its so weird cause she was my daughters age now (3.5) when I first met my husband....time flies so fast Very Happy

not to mention that the oldest one was 9 then and now she is a teenager, its actually pretty funny she is 14 and I'm 30 Wink

oh well I have 3 step kids and they all live with us. I dont get along with his ex! why would u take her daughter do u get along with his wife?

don't get along with either dxh or "exwife" ... but why should the kids suffer ?!?!?! ... she's not much around but she did spend a year here and when she comes to visit ... she comes to say hi to me too Mr. Green

I agree - is it possible to have a forum, or is there already a forum, for blended families?

I'm a newlywed, married to a man with two children, with shared custody. I'm not technically a mother, but have to deal with unique issues. I'd love somewhere to discuss the uniqueness of a blended family.

deedee, b"h, that's so beautiful, so many people wouldn't think twice about going out with a man with children, they just wouldn't, sorry, but me included (at that age).

we've got a lot of blended families in my extended family, and in most cases it all worked out for the best.

Our situation is a bit different from typical families and we tend to deal with things that others could not understand..

btw deedee the man I married has 4 kids, one boy age 10, and 3 girls ages 15, 18 and 19

I am 31!

Mitzvahmom I know a few families like that and it worked out fine. As time went on the older daughters became very close to the stepmother and were almost like friends! They even had children at the same time just like older mothers and firstborn daughters in biological families often do!
