whats it like in your house first thing in the morning? I have 2 kids B"H, 3 and 1. My baby used to be in the same room as us until about 7 months, then got up super early. Now that she's waking up normal time, same time kinda as my older dd, I find it hard to deal with them both so early in the am. Usually, I get my 1 year old, feed her change her and get dressed for work, and then get my older one. I feel really bad though b/c my older kid is up and wants to get out of her crib (which she can do by herself at this point). She cries out "imaaaaa, imaaaaa" I feel so bad, but I like taking it easy in the morning b/f I start "shmoozing" with her so much so early in the am.
Just wondering how others manage the kids in the morning.

Lock my door and say, don't bother me for another hour.
My kids are in school, so I get up about 15 minutes before them and get everything ready, if I didn't do it the night before. B"h, bl"ah, the baby usually gets up after they already left.

| It is hard. In our house, DH gets up, gets dressed & goes out to feed the older ones & make sure they get dressed (they dress themselves). Meanwhile, I nurse the baby & then get ready or vice versa depending on when she wakes up. Then I go out & finish getting the kids ready (DD's hair etc) A tip - have all bags & clothing ready the night before.

| I like to take care of myself first and when I'm all dressed get baby ready and then my 3 yr old. If they wake up before I'm ready, I usually give them a bottle to drink and that keeps them quiet till I'm ready for them....

Shoppingmom, I've seen crib tents they make that are made of mesh and go on top of the crib so the kid cant climb out. _________________
