Digital camera

ok my last digital camera broke when my daughter dropped it and I want to replace it.
it's the only way my parents can "see" my kids..

important things are that it
1. takes the picture quickly (my kids don't stay still for an extra minute)
2. that batteries don't need replacing too often

someone told me that Casio Exilim EX-Z77 7.2-Megapixel Digital Camera is on sale - does anyone have any experience with this or other casio cameras?

what other cameras would you recommend?
I don't want to spend a lot.

I just purchased the Canon SX100. You can get it for about $220 on amazon. I think it takes pictures quickly and get really good sharp prints. The only downside is, you need to lift a little piece on the top of the camera for the flash. I sometimes forget to do that, and pictures are not the right coloring. If you like a slimmer camera, I have some friends who are very happy with the Canon SD750.
You can purchase cameras at Costco.com, and if you are not happy with it, you have 90 days to return.

Gamzu, where did you purchase this camera? How do you learn more about the manual controls? I don't know much about photography, but I prefer a bigger camera rather than slim ones.

I got it on Butterfly photo, or something of that sort.

I actually like the fact that you have to raise the flash, because in my old camera, when it was on Auto the flash would sometimes fire and ruin the picture. (I had to always turn the lash off, and if I switched modes, it reset itself and I had to turn it off again.

I learned about manual mode from the instruction manual, but that was just the technicalities. I've been picking up photography terms and tips for a while, from online tutorials, from discussing with people, but mostly from experimenting myself.

Oh, and the battery life seems pretty good. Better than my last camera.
