Fresh Direct

Does anyone here order from freshdirect.com?
They now come to my neighborhood and I'm thinking of ordering from them. Their website is great - pictures of all the foods they carry and quite a selection. They carry a full kosher line. They are known to ship only the freshest fruits and vegetables to you.

Do you think their prices are expensive? I think its pretty similiar to what we pay in the stores and for not having to go to the grocery, its great. Anyone here try them?

I've tried them. I was happy with the products but the prices are not always the best compared to what I can get around where I live.

Same here, I can get cheaper meat. The produce is good, and it is convenient.
My problem was that I need to go down the aisles of the store to remember what I need, so when I ordered from Fresh Direct, I would always forget things and have to make a trip to the store anyway. I may have ended up spending more money in the end...

One more thing - their customer service is amazing! They are super helpful if you have a problem, and they give discounts on your next order if they make a mistake.

Living in Manhattan, I loved them. I didn't have to lug things to my apt. And in Manhattan, the prices are cheaper.

Cheaper on fresh direct rather than in manhattan stores I mean.

I use them weekly and I love them.
They keep sending 20% off anth for a baby coupons: diapers, baby food, etc.
And they have organic veggies.
I do not order poultry and meat from them - that DH gets at Goldbergs in BP.
