my 7 month old ds who rolls both ways easily, sits by himself and gets into crawling position just started doing this new thing that scares me.... when he is tired/ getting tired ( like ready for a nap) he starts to bobble his head as if tis getting to heavy to hold.. usually he has great control.. is this a precursor to s/t bad or is rhis just his sign for tirednes.. I'm going to the dr. in few weeks but need reassurance now.. please

listen, I'm no expert, but many children start regressing somewhat when they're too overtired. like falling down while walking. crawling into couches. not being able to support themselves in a crawling position and instead worming around.

so heads bobbing seems to fit that description.

That's a good guess. It makes sense to me.

Ds puts his head own on the floor when he's tired and/or he starts have more falls.

I didn't notice these sorts of physical signs when ds was 7 months, but it fits.

Do you notice eye rubbing, ear tugging, yawning, and/or crankiness that are other signs of being tired? And does it occur when its about naptime or bedtime; how long has it been since he's slept?

ever see tired people on the bus? the head starts drooping till either it goes ker-plop on the chest, or the owner brings it back up with a start.
